Interesting Books

'Business Advice' books that I've read and found useful, or that have been recommended to me:

Influence: Science and Practice by Robert Cialdini

Review of book

I've read chapters in this book several times over - it is fascinating.
(see my article 'cup of coffee')

'The Jelly Effect' by Andy Bounds

Review of book

Andy is amazing and his perception and understanding of people is absorbing.  He certainly can teach all of us a thing or two about our communication skills and our interaction with the community, business and otherwise.
(see my article 'cup of coffee')

The Ultimate Web Marketing Strategy by Ed Rivis

Review of book

A great book, full of critical information, from a switched on guy who talks plain English so us 'non-techies' can understand the why's and how to's. I couldn't put the book down once I'd started reading it - just wanted to get all his ideas and concepts up and running asap.

(see his blog "Web Marketing Strategy for Small Business Success" too)

The Kiss Business - "The Keep It Simple Sweetheart principle in business"

Review of book

The rough road from 'start-up' to successful business, this debut business novel by Karin Hermans is a good read. Her philosophy of keeping things simple certainly works.  She certainly earned her 'wheelbarrow award'!
