Let me introduce myself.
Sometimes clients address me as ‘Dr.’ Calderwood. A medical doctor? - Definitely NOT - But a 'company doctor'? - because I make poorly companies better and weak companies strong.
I'm known for an unusual and innovative skill, in that I can quickly identify, diagnose and fix those many complex business ‘ailments’ that cause organisations to suffer, stagnate or wither. And that’s not just making a short term patch - it’s tackling the root causes — the deeper seated strategic issues — so that those problems are sorted long term.
My ultimate purpose is helping you, as a client, to
- develop and establish your organisation
- build more revenues
- create greater profits, and
- generate the positive cash flow that is so essential to the growth of every business – yours included.

What are my credentials? Let me briefly tell you…
I’m currently a partner in a firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Consultants and a director 
of several companies, including a management consultancy business.
My professional specialism is helping clients build and develop their businesses for increased income and, importantly, true capital growth. This is a skill born out of knowledge and experience gained over 26 years of working successfully with more than 134 business owners and managers.
I also write articles for books and publications and speak at business functions.
Born a colonial, schooled in southern Africa, trained in London and qualified as an accountant with 'big firm' pwc, I’m used to the challenges of business and hard work. Working in the UK and abroad has included periods within commerce, merchant banking and private practice.
I also devote time and give back to the community, as trustee of a large 300 year old charity, and other honorary activities.
Married to my lovely wife Sue, we have 3 grown up sons, and currently live in SE England. Keen on rugby and hockey in my youth, my leisure activities have evolved, past and present, as - offshore sailing (qualified yacht master offshore), diving (qualified deep water diver), flying and gliding (licensed for a number of light aircraft), skiing (now solidly beaten by my children), and travel (especially through 'third world' countries, which included a difficult 'UK to South Africa' overland epic in 1973 with 3 friends in a rebuilt Land Rover).
In a nutshell – adventurous, enjoy a challenge, innovative and practical. – and a nice guy too (so I’m told).

Based in Kent, UK, with clients nationally, his skills, knowledge and unique approach, together with structured tax planning, has enabled dozens of his clients to achieve levels of turnover, efficiency, profitabilityand cash retention well in excess of expectation.
